BLUFFING GOD

I look out from
My mountain
Bluff - and see
Thirty miles of
Trees hunched together for
Shade in spring and
Warmth in winter -
Thirty miles of
Birds V-making their way
South -
Thirty miles of
Clouds congregating for
Rain - and
Me, alone, solitary
But for God tying
Me together to the
Clouds, trees and birds -
Feeling part of them - and
God -
Who does not bluff but
Plays straight.
